Weekly Motivation

Hello Again!

I hope everyone was able to get through their weekends with out my post, but I had a very busy weekend.  And I will be honest, I did not eat the healthiest and I could have worked out more than I did.  So I would like to tally all that it is okay to fall off track sometimes.  Sometimes we just get too busy and we may not find the time to workout and grabbing a sandwich from Sheetz may be easier than making a healthy dinner at home.  But the important thing to learn from weekends like this are to get back on track and get back into our healthy habits.  Easter is coming and for me that means big family dinners.  I am going to get back on track this week.  I will workout everyday, I will eat healthy, and I will not have any cheat days.  Together we can all make it through another week by falling our diets and eating healthy.  If I can do it, you can too!

Happy Spring!

Happy First Day of Spring Everyone!

It is Spring now which means we are one season away from Summer!  Stop putting off exercising and eating healthy and making healthy decisions.  Don't you want to be happy this year strutting your stuff on the beach in a tiny little bikini?  Well it is time to kick your butt into shape.  Go enjoy this beautiful Spring weather, go for a walk and exercise and enjoy yourself at the same time.  Make a fresh fruit salad to enjoy on a nice Spring night.  Just stop making excuses this season.  It is time to get serious and get fit!

Get 'thinspired'

Do not work out because you hate your body, work out because you love it.

This is a piece of advice that I like to live by.  It is simple and short, but it gets to the point.  It is important to love your body, and know that is why you workout and keep it healthy.  It is not always about having a 6 pack, and having big muscles.  It is important to be health on the inside, and have a health mind.  Live by these words and hopefully that will motivate you to keep on going and stay healthy!

Have a Happy Friday, and a wonderful weekend/week ahead!

Sunday Motivation

Happy Sunday!

I decided not to post on Friday this week so I can give a little motivation on this Sunday afternoon.  Tomorrow ins Monday and I do not think anyone actually enjoys this day of the week.  That is why it is important to take this Sunday to relax and prepare yourself for the next week to come.  Start the week off right tomorrow by working out and eating healthy.  I know whenever I start the week off well, I usually finish it on a good note also.  If I have a bad Monday, that usually sets me up for a bad week.  My advice to you is to wake up tomorrow morning, go about your daily routine, but make sure you fit in a good workout.  This will make your day even better, or if you are having a bad Monday, hopefully it will make your day a little better!  Trust me, if you start the week off good tomorrow, your week will probably go well.  Have a wonderful week and check back in next Friday for some more motivational words on how to stay healthy and happy!

Valentines Day Tip

So we all know tomorrow is Valentine's Day and that means lots and lots of chocolate, which is my favorite part about this holiday.  But we all known that milk chocolate is not the healthiest treat.  That is why you should stick to dark chocolate during this V-day.  Here are some facts about milk chocolate vs. dark chocolate:

Half a bar of dark chocolate has fewer carbs compared to half a bar of milk chocolate.  Dark chocolate also has half the sugar, four times the fiber, more iron levels, and more caffeine (which may be bad for some, but for me that is a plus).

It is clearly no secret that dark chocolate is healthier for you, and it has been very prominent in the news lately.  So whether someone else is buying you chocolate or you are buying yourself chocolate on this Valentine's Day, remember to stick to dark chocolate to stay  bit healthier.  Also, keep up the healthy eating and daily exercise during the week!

Enjoy the weekend everyone!

TGIF, Enjoy It

TGIF

I don't know about you, but his has been a long week!  MY parents are in town, I am sore from my workouts, so I am going to use this weekend for a little R&R and I expect you all to do the same.  Now that does not mean go out and binge eat at Cookout.  Remember to eat smart, but also remember to enjoy yourself this weekend!  Next week we will continue our decisions, but this weekend you have permission to enjoy yourself!

Until Next Friday...

Weekend Warrior

Everyone pat yourselves on the back for making it through another week!  The weekend it is here and although everyone loves the weekend, the weekends do not always love us.  Weeks are hard enough when you are trying to stay fit and healthy, but over the next 3 days you will have to deal with some temptations.  Think: birthdays, dinner parties, drinks with the girls.  Everyone uses the weekend to relax and wind down, but when you are trying to be fit it is important to try to still be active.  But everyone deserves a little R&R, so to deal with the next 3 nights of eating and drinking, step up your activity level during the week.  Try to push yourself during the week so you can enjoy yourself during the weekend.  Run that extra mile, walk on the treadmill at a higher incline, increase your exercise reps.  The harder you push yourself during the weekend, the less guilty you will feel about relaxing more during the weekend.  Also, be smart when you go out.  Drink low calorie drinks with water in-between each, and eat a healthy meal before you go out so you are not tempted to eat that big piece of chocolate cake.  Just remember, work hard during the week so you can play hard during the weekend!  Staying healthy is hard, but when you are smart it can be such easier!
